The Annette Knight Award for Church History
Congratulations to Revd Andrew Nelmes on being awarded The Annette Knight Award for Church History at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David!
It was awarded for the Masters dissertation he completed while he was training for ordination.
Andrew said, "I was pleased to receive this award. Initially I thought it might be a scam, however, after contacting my supervisor Dr Timothy Baylor, he confirmed that ‘The Annette Knight Prize for Church History’ is legitimate.
" I enjoyed researching and writing up this dissertation. ‘To what extent is John Calvin’s theology of sorrow beneficial to inform the pastoral care of the bereaved?’ I am grateful to the former Archdeacon Ambrose Mason who authorized my return to Lampeter as a distance learning student and to St Padarn’s for being accommodating in allowing this."
