TEAM VICAR - ISLWYN MINISTRY AREA

The Ministry Area of Islwyn serves eleven churches across the South Wales Valleys, from Risca to Aberbargoed. Our churches play an active role in their communities through Friendship Groups, schools work, Food Banks, and stay and play sessions. We value both traditional and emerging forms of worship and are committed to developing approaches that speak to people of all ages, while recognising that our worship culture is often distant from everyday community experience. Collaboration shapes our mission: churches increasingly share resources and host joint events. Our ministry team meets regularly to pray, support one another, and grow a shared vision for flourishing ministry.

We are seeking a priest who:

• Is committed to team ministry and collaborative leadership.
• Has a heart for mission and community engagement.
• Will lead us in spiritual, missional, and numerical growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pastoral and missional oversight of St Margaret's Pontymister, St Mary's Risca, and St Theodore's Ynysddu.
• Developing worship that is inclusive, vibrant, and accessible.
• Strengthening outreach to families, schools, and young people.
