More than 500 people gathered at St Sannan’s Church, Bedwellty, for an eclipse watching party organised by Mynydd Bedwellte Ministry Area.
Visitors were provided with proper eclipse glasses and refreshments as they came together to watch the eclipse safely. The evening was as much about gathering as a community as it was about looking at the sky, with a wonderful atmosphere around the church.
Revd Matt Davis said: “It was fantastic to see so many people come together. The eclipse gave us a reason to look up and share in God's creation, but the real joy was sharing the experience with our neighbours.”
Special thanks go to the volunteers from across the ministry area who worked together to welcome visitors and help the event run safely and smoothly.
