Deaf Community Mission Outreach Worker appointed
We are delighted to announce that Nicola Roylance has joined the team as a Deaf Community Mission Outreach Worker.
Working jointly with Llandaff Diocese, Nicola joins us from the Presbyterian Church of Wales where she has spent the last 10 years as a Childrens' and Youth Worker.
Nicola says: “I’m excited to take up this role in the Church in Wales and I am looking forward to getting to know you all over the coming months. I have a passion for sharing Jesus with people who may not hear about Him in traditional ways.”
Ven Ian Rees, Archdeacon of Monmouth and Director of Ministry, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Nicola to a role that is really exciting as she builds relationships with members of the deaf community of all ages across South Wales. It’s especially exciting to be working together with the South East Wales Deaf church association along with Llandaff Diocese.”
Nicola has two children, five chickens and a Labrador -who enjoys sighing loudly and stealing blankets. In her spare time she enjoys sewing, crocheting, and running, although not at the same time!
