Testimony - Revd Justin Groves

"Since the age of 11, my faith in Jesus has inspired me to dream big and serve Him, even when others don’t understand. I strive to love like He did, especially those who are struggling. My church community, though imperfect, reflects His light and love. Giving brings us joy, and I feel privileged to serve alongside others, experiencing glimpses of the early church in action."
My faith in Jesus as my Lord and Saviour since the age of 11 inspires me to attempt great things for Him and for His glory, even when others don’t understand or agree. I want to keep learning from how Jesus connected with people who were often marginalised and oppressed, and to allow him to change me and give me more of His love.
The God I believe in is very big and I have confidence that He will give us what is needed when it is needed – so I continue to think and dream big. I love the community I am part of and I am proud to be part of my church family, counting it a total privilege to serve alongside them.

We are not perfect and sometimes things are messy but at times like that I get glimpses of our different realities and can see Jesus shining in his light, love and healing into the brokenness. I have just got home from visiting a lady from church who is at present housebound, to surprise her with the news that individuals, from church, have given enough money to pay for a decorator to paint her home. We are discovering that it is much better to give than to receive, there’s so much more joy to experience. I love being part of this kind of community – it seems to reflect something of the early church community.
