The Rt Revd Cherry Vann, Bishop of Monmouth is delighted to announce that Revd Stuart Ghezzi has been appointed as a Team Vicar in Monmouth Marches Ministry Area.Stuart is currently serving as team vicar in Cynon Valley South Ministry Area and will bring a vast amount of valuable experience to his new role, complementing the exisiting ministry team extremely well.Speaking about his appointment, Stuart said: "I have a passion for community in all its varying aspects. In particular, being a part of a community of faith that looks out of the church doors to spread the Good News to others as we work to transform all our lives has formed the basis of my own Christian vocation throughout the years."I am looking forward to joining the Diocese and the Monmouth Marches Ministry Area as we continue together discerning God's will as we all grow as a faith community."Prior to his ordination to the priesthood in 2020 in the diocese of Llandaff, Stuart Studied Music at the University of Southampton and then worked as a secondary school music teacher for 15 years. His previous career in education feeds through his ministry, enjoying forging relationships with schools and all of our young adults.Born and brought up in the South Wales Valleys, Stuart began his ministry as a curate in the Afon Nedd Ministry Area serving Neath and the surrounding area.The licensing service will take place in St Mary’s Priory in Monmouth on July 27th at 6pm and all are very welcome to come along to support Stuart and the ministry area.
