Bishop Cherry is delighted to announce that Revd Becky Evans has been appointed as a Team Vicar in the Netherwent Ministry Area.Becky will start her new role in September 2025.Bishop Cherry, said: "This is a really exciting announcement as the stipendiary clergy team will be completed with Becky’s arrival, following the recent confirmation of Revd Sarah Rosser as a Team Vicar."She will be joining a really committed and faithful team of clergy (stipendiary and non stipendiary) and lay people."Since being ordained in Summer 2019, Becky has served in two ministry areas in and around Aberystywth. Prior to ordination, her background was in the food industry and health promotion in various roles, many of which were in South Wales, as she studied at Cardiff University.Becky will be moving with her husband Alun, who is the tutor in Mission at St Padarn's Institute.She said: "I am looking forward to getting to know the local areas in the coming months and serving God together, and we’re both looking forward to moving to Monmouthshire!"Becky loves the outdoors, especially in the sunshine(!), spending time with family and friends, baking and being creative.Her licensing will take place on 1st September and further details of will follow soon.
