Equality and diversity are rooted in the belief that every person is created and loved by God. We are called to love our neighbour - whoever they are - and to build communities where everyone feels valued, included, and empowered to live life in its fullness.
This means:
- Thinking about those who are missing from our congregations and considering why
- Welcoming those who may feel excluded or unseen
- Challenging things that cause hardship or injustice
- Ensuring future generations inherit a fairer, kinder world
As disciples, we recognise that this is a challenging and wide-ranging topic but one that we have to address in order to faithfully proclaim the Good News of Jesus and grow a church that truly reflects the heart of Christ.
"Accept one another then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God." (Romans 15:7)
