Dr Annette Daly has been appointed as the new Diocesan Director of Education for Monmouth.
Annette is currently a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Cardiff Metropolitan University and, for several years, has combined this role with that of Programme Director of the Foundation in Social Sciences.
Annette has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the education sector at all levels in Wales, England and Northern Ireland (where she started as a primary school teacher).
Annette is also active in her local church, having initiated and co-ordinated a number of projects involving children, schools and families. She is currently engaged in work with young people in the Rectorial Benefice of Canton, in the Diocese of Llandaff.
On being appointed, Annette said, “I am delighted and privileged to be coming into this role and very much look forward to working with Bishop Richard and the other Diocesan staff in enabling our schools, children, young people and families to grow in a spiritually nourishing way as disciples of Christ.”
Annette is married to Revd Phelim O’Hare and they have two sons, Fiachra (11) and Eoin (8).
She will be based in the Diocesan Office and begin her post on 1 March 2016.
