Stewardship is about considering what we are and what we have as a gift from God to be used for his service: our time, our talents, our money, our possessions….all of us.

1 Chronicles 29:14 (NIV): “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”

This is not easy and is definitely counter-cultural. Jesus taught us to love people and use things – and not the other way around, as society often seems to do. Our giving should be an act of thanksgiving, joyous, generous – not a tip for great service!
