"Mary’s faith journey began in childhood through her curiosity about church teaching and deepened as she participated in worship. She found peace, reflection, and a loving community in her church, which became a vital source of strength—especially after losing her mother at 16. Her faith continues to evolve, and she remains committed to helping others experience God’s presence, knowing that faith is a lifelong journey of growth and discovery."

Text block 2

Hi, my name is Mary and I’ve been going to church since I was around 12 years old. I went to a Church in Wales Primary School, and had a real interest in what the priest would say when he visited us. I wanted to find out more about the faith so decided to be confirmed. Initially, I found God through song (although not a gifted singer!) as I got involved with my church choir.Through worshipping in church, I found such peace and calm in what is often a very crazy and noisy world! Church allowed me a space to think and reflect on difficult things happening in my life. I also found a very special and encouraging community. No matter what sort of day I was having, I’d come away feeling extremely uplifted and loved. I felt this love particularly when I lost my mum at the age of 16. The overwhelming support I received was, and still is a real comfort to me, I’m not sure I could have coped without it.I find my faith an ever-growing, everchanging thing. I’m certain I’ll never fully understand God or His plans! I’d love to carry on helping my church in any way I can and encourage more people to come and experience the presence of God in their lives – you never know where it might take you!
