Text block 1

Bishop Cherry is delighted to announce that Revd Sarah Rosser has been appointed as Team Vicar in the Netherwent Ministry Area. Sarah will be licensed in St Mary's Church, Magor on May 13th at 7.30pm and everyone is welcome to come and support her and the ministry area. Reflecting on her appointment, Sarah said: “I'm looking forward to getting to know the Netherwent Ministry area that bit better and I am excited to see what God is doing in our midst!"Sarah moved to Magor in January, with her husband and pet dog Mara, to complete her curacy. She had previously served in the Heart of Monmouthshire Ministry Area for two and a half years. Before training to be a priest, Sarah spent a few years working in the Diocesan Office in Newport, and prior to that practised employment law in Cardiff - having moved to Wales at the age of 18 to study law at university. Sarah grew up in South Somerset and that is where most of her family reside. In her free time she enjoys camping, live music, theatre, comedy, and jigsaw puzzles! She loves plants and trying to keep them alive - both indoors and out - and is looking forward to the Spring and getting the Rectory garden into some order!
