Bishop Cherry is delighted to announce the appointment of Zoe and Barney Pimentel to the Severn Wye Ministry Area. Their roles will be shared, with Zoe as the Ministry Area leader and Barney as a Team Vicar.Commenting on the appointment, Bishop Cherry said: "This is an unusual appointment and an exciting one. Zoe and Barney bring different and complementary gifts, skills and experience to their respective ministries. Together, they will bring fresh vision and energy to the churches of the Ministry Area as they lead the congregations into this next chapter of their life together."Zoe and Barney met at training college in Bristol, and have been in joint ordained ministry for over 10 years, spending the last seven as vicars of St.Alban’s Coventry. Zoe also worked for two years as Coventry Cathedral’s Lead Chaplain Missioner, and is a qualified Youth & Community Worker. Barney is currently Assistant Area Dean for Coventry East and on Diocesan Synod. They are excited about moving to Monmouth Diocese with their Welsh Springer Spaniel Finwe.We are very much looking forward to welcoming Zoe and Barney to the Ministry Area and Diocese. The licensing service will be held on May 7th.
