We are delighted to announce that Rev Richard Mulcahy will be joining the ministry team of Newport North West next month.Richard will be joining the team for two Sundays a month and will be primarily based in St Mark’s, working alongside Frances who remains the focal minister.Following the announcement, Richard said: "I'm looking forward to getting to know St Mark's and its people, and to work with colleagues old and new to serve God's people in the ministry area. The church, as a whole, faces many new challenges and I want to be part of finding the solutions as we build the Kingdom together."Richard was ordained in Newport Cathedral in 2005 and has spent most of his ministry in Bassaleg (now Tredegar Park Ministry Area) and Bedwas, Machen and Trethomas (Mountain and Marsh MA) parishes. He was born and brought up in Newport, and in his 'day job' Richard works for the Welsh Government. For the past two years, he has also been a member of the Governing Body of the Church in Wales.He will be licensed by Bishop Cherry at a special service at St Mark's, Goldtops on 9th October at 7.30pm.
