A special commissioning service was held on Sunday (30th January) to mark the formation of East Cardiff Ministry Area.Held at St Teilo’s High School, the service was a real celebration and included contributions from some of the students, the choir from St Augustine's Church, Rumney and the wider church family.During her welcome, Bishop Cherry, said: “We have come here today to celebrate our life together in Christ and to commission the East Cardiff Ministry Area. In bringing together the various communities that make up this Ministry Area we pray that by greater collaboration we may further the Gospel and strengthen the mission of the local churches.”During the service Revd James Henley was licensed as Ministry Area Leader and Gareth Rayner-Williams was licensed as Associate Priest.East Cardiff is one of at least 8 new Ministry Areas being inaugurated this year.
