Text block 1

It is part of the pattern and discipline of Anglican Worship to join in the daily prayer of the church.A regular pattern of daily prayer helps ground our life in the deep rhythms of the universe and to ride out the choppy surface waters of everyday busyness.Jesus grew up taking part in the community worship in the synagogue. The gospels tell how he prayed regularly; he was often up before dawn to spend time praying to his Father – and especially before taking a major decision. If you can, do join in the daily service in your parish church, or a church near your place of work. But you also participate in the common worship of the church when you pray by yourself or with a small group, whether you use a set form of words (office) or pray in your own words for those listed in a corporate prayer cycle.

Quote block 2

God, and Father of all

You have planted the Good News

of your love in the faith communities

of our Diocese.

By your Spirit at work in us,

Grant us to grow strong in Christ so that our lives

of devotion and service may reveal to your world

the power of your love,

which is able to do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine;

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Diocesan Prayer

Quote block 3

Almighty God,

You have called us,

the Diocese of the Highveld and the Diocese of Monmouth,

to journey together in Christ

on a common pilgrimage of faith and discipleship.

Strengthen and uphold us

that whatever challenges we may face

you may give us your grace

to live out our companionship

according to your will.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Loving creator,

whose Son Jesus Christ, has transformed us with the hope of new life,

prosper the work of your Church in the Dioceses of the Highveld and Monmouth.

Through the inspiration of your Holy Spirit.

may we grow together in the love of Jesus.

Bless our bishops

to be messengers of the Good News,

and through the lives of us all

may your kingdom come,

through Jesus Christ,

who with you and the Holy Spirit

lives and reigns as Lord of all,

world without end. Amen.
