He has the wisdom and vision to be able to bring the churches of this new Ministry Area together and lead them with faithfulness and compassion.”Fr John says that he has enjoyed every single minute of his time at St Augustine’s and that he will be sad to leave such a welcoming and truly inclusive church family, however, he is delighted to have been appointed to serve in the Abergavenny and Govilon parishes and looks forward to returning to live in Abergavenny once again. He says: “The challenges all our churches and communities face as we continue to journey through the current pandemic are many, but I look forward to sharing in God’s mission by worshipping and working alongside all people of faith and good will in the town. If you meet me, please do say ‘Hello’ and introduce yourself, even if you are wearing a mask and I may not recognise you next time!”Fr John serves the Diocese as Area Dean of Bassaleg, is a member of several committees and acts as Bishop Cherry’s Deliverance Ministry Officer.
