Celebrating Lay Ministry

Lay Ministers from across the Diocese of Monmouth gathered in Newport Cathedral on Sunday afternoon to renew their commitment and celebrate the licensing of four new Lay Ministers.

Being licensed were:

Gay Holywell (Benefice of Bedwas, Machen, Michaelston-y-Fedw & Rudry)

Beverley Lucas (Rectorial Benefice of the Upper Ebbw Valleys)

Douglas McCaully (Parish of Tintern & Llandogo)

Paul Williams (Magor Ministry Area)

In a joyful and uplifting service, Bishop Richard Pain led the new Lay Ministers through their promises and invited the ministry teams from their respective Ministry Areas or parishes to stand to show their support and welcome them.
